Happy Gourmet Burger

Happy Gourmet Burger
This Picture Cracks Me UP! Actually what I really think makes this burger so special is the Hot Pepper Sauce Mayo. Oh Man!

The Idea for this came from Sargento Cheese.

What I did and What you need for this:

1 Pound Ground Beef

2 Tbsp Soy Sauce (or 1/4 Cup Oyster Sauce)

8 Sour Dough Bread Slices

4 Onion Slices

8 Slices of Cheese ( It calls for 6 slices of Swiss Cheese, cut in half. I didn't have any, so I used 1 slice of American and 1 slice of Provolone)

1/4 Cup Mayonnaise

1 Tsp Hot Pepper Sauce

4 Portabello Mushrooms ( I wish I had some of these, but I didn't.)

Mix together Soy Sauce and Ground Meat. Shape into Patties. ha ha.

Mix together the Mayo and Hot Pepper Sauce, spread Lightly on bread slices.

Cook Hamburgers, Onions and Mushrooms, If using, on oiled grill over medium hot coals for 4 minutes, flip add cheese and cook for another 4 minutes.  Grill bread until toasted on both sides. Spread with rest of Mayo Mixture top with onions, mushrooms and Burger.

Walnut Cake

Luscious Walnut Cake
Mmmmmmmm...... A Simply Delicious recipe!

What you need:

350 Degree Oven

5 Eggs

1 Cup Sugar

1 Tbsp Water

1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Walnuts

1/2 Cup Flour

1/3 Cup Cornstarch

2 Tsp Baking Powder

Plus,

1/2 Cup Coarsely Chopped Walnuts

1 1/2 Cups Whipping Cream

1 Cup Applesauce

Some Grated Chocolate

You need 2 bowls. In 1 Large bowl, beat together the eggs, sugar and water until light and fluffy. Add the finely chopped walnuts.

In the other bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch and baking powder. Carefully and slowly sift into egg mixture, blending until smooth.

Pour into greased and floured 9'' springboard pan. Bake Immediately( Or the cornstarch will sink to the bottom) for about half an hour. ( I did not have a springboard pan, so I just put mine into a regular cake pan) Let cool.

Beat whipping cream till stiff, add walnuts to 1/3 of the cream.

Cut cake into 3 layers. (lol, that was not easy!)

Spread bottom layer with half the applesauce, then half the whipped cream with walnuts. Do the same to the next layer. Add top layer, spread with the rest of the whipped cream and garnish with the coarsely chopped walnuts and Chocolate. Watch it disappear quickly!
